The Electrical Solutions Story
Electrical Solutions started in Aug 2007 because Stuart was wanting some electrical work carried out in his house at the time. Having finally managed to get a couple of quotes he was astounded at the price and the fact that no one wanted to chase the cables into the walls - they would only run them in mini trunking. After considering his position he decided that he would train and qualify as a Domestic Installer himself. At the time we were running a catalogue business and so we informed our customers that Stuart was now a qualified electrician and we immediately had requests for electrical work from many of them. (At this point it was obvious that Stuart needed help so Barbara started to work with him) It seemed that they had experienced the same problem as we had - we were often thanked for simply turning up on time, or turning up at all!
Now we are registered as NICEIC Approved Contractors and employ 2 more electricians with plans to expand further. We have worked in flats and houses, big and small, shops, building sites, schools, nurseries, churches, village halls, caravan sites, farms, garden centres, industrial units and social clubs. We regularly work for letting agents and landlords doing repairs, Landlord Certificates (EICRs) and PAT testing.
We also have a desire to take on apprentices, giving them the support and opportunity they need to complete their Electrical Apprenticeship and build a career in Electrical Engineering. Get in touch if you're interested in joining on an apprenticeship.
NICEIC approved contractor
All customers of NICEIC registered contractors will be covered by the NICEIC Platinum Promise. Our Platinum Promise provides assurance to your customers that any work that has not been carried out in compliance with Building Regulations will be rectified.
The Platinum Promise lasts for six years from the date of work completion and covers up to a limit of £25,000 for any one installation. It provides consumers with extra peace of mind and gives NICEIC registered contractors a competitive edge over others.
This would include anything from replacing a light fitting or moving a socket, to altering the electrics for the kitchen you are having fitted, a full rewire or fault finding.
We are a husband and wife team which works particularly well within the domestic or rental market because Barbara can look at the project from a woman's point of view which can be very reassuring to other wives, elderly people, households with children and single mums.
